BI Solutions Consultant

5+ years of experience working on Business Intelligence and Analytics related projects using Microsoft BI technologies. Primary emphasis of this role is to perform core implementation and consulting services for new and existing customers.  This role requires a solid understanding and use of T-SQL and Microsoft BI technologies.  JD Edwards domain knowledge is a plus but not required. 

Position Overview

Expected job responsibilities include:

  • Installing and configuring QuickLaunch elements on customer environments including SQL Database Views, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Packages, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Tabular Models, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports, and Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Delivering BI consulting services to customers (T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, etc.)
  • Assisting in the product development of QuickLaunch for Microsoft BI
  • One-on-one interaction with customers via remote desktop as well as on on-site engagements
  • You will maintain the high quality of services that our customers have come to respect, and, on which we have built our reputation. You will work with some of the best and brightest people in the industry; people who care about our customers and care about helping them achieve the results they seek.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft reporting/business intelligence applications
  • In-depth knowledge of T-SQL, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS & Power BI
  • In-depth knowledge of the JD Edwards World and/or EnterpriseOne ERP is a plus

Experience with the following:

  • Microsoft BI solution including SQL Server 2016/2017 (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS), PowerBI, SSAS Tabular Models (DAX)
  • Experience with Data Warehousing and ETL Microsoft SSIS
  • Strong technical knowledge in databases and database SQL (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms

Data Analytics Consultant

5+ years of experience working on Business Intelligence and Analytics related projects using Microsoft BI technologies. Primary emphasis of this role is to perform consulting services that deliver value-added BI content to business users. This role requires a great deal of modeling presenting data with T-SQL, SSAS Tabular/DAX, and Power BI.

Position Overview

Expected job responsibilities include:

  • Learning the fundamentals of QuickLaunch elements including SQL Database Views, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Tabular Models, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports, and Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Delivering BI consulting services to customers using the following technologies (T-SQL, SSAS, and Power BI)
  • Assisting in the product development of QuickLaunch leveraging the latest Microsoft BI Analytics capabilities
  • Delivering Knowledge Transfer workshops to customers and developing internal training videos for QuickLaunch Academy
  • One-on-one interaction with customers via remote desktop as well as on on-site engagements

  • Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) development using Microsoft SSIS
  • Architecting, Developing, and Data Modeling BI Solutions internally and for customers
  • Joining the product development team of QuickLaunch for Microsoft BI
  • One-on-one interaction with customers via remote desktop as well as on on-site engagements

Marketing and Administrative Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

  • Markets products by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns.
  • Tracks sales data, maintains promotional materials inventory, plans meetings and trade shows, maintains databases, and prepares reports.
  • Implements marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; and updating calendars.

This job is intended to be performed onsite at Preferred Strategies headquarters in Soquel, CA.  Office hours are 8am – 5pm Pacific Time.  This position is flexible for part-time or full-time employment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing or a related field

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
